The GSLI offers a wide range of free workshops for graduate students each semester. Details and registration are available through the online event registration system.

Registration for workshops offered as part of the Teaching Development Program is done through a separate registration system from Open Learning and Educational Support.

Workshops on career-related topics can be found on the Career Services Website.

Workshop topics vary but usually include:

  • Writing and Referencing
  • Specialized Data Software
  • Time Management & Related Issues
  • Academic Presentation Skills

Non-Credit Courses

In addition to our regular roster of workshops, the GSLI is offering a number of non-credit courses to provide graduate students with opportunities for more in-depth skill development. The length of the courses varies from three to six sessions. A letter of recognition from the Dean of Graduate Studies will be given to course participants who demonstrate attainment of the target skills. Information about upcoming workshops is normally forwarded by email through the graduate secretary in your department.
